A Plasma HDTV Incorporates The Best In Modern Technology To Give Superior Picture Quality

A plasma HDTV is an essential piece of equipment for anyone that loves watching television and wants to do so using the latest in TV technology. So, before actually purchasing one such TV, it would pay to learn a bit more about it as well as where it can be bought so that your whole experience in choosing the plasma HDTV is greatly simplified as well as more advantageous to you as it will help you to select the better makes and models.

Flat As Well As Larger

Essentially, the plasma HDTV is a video monitor using millions of very small fluorescent lights of various colors that help in making an image in high definition format. In fact, in such TV models, there are very small light cells that are placed in between a couple of glass plates and which also have electrodes that activate the cells in order to create patterns and colors in high definition format. Thus, because of this sandwiching of cells between glass plates, it is possible for plasma TVs to be flat as well as larger.

A plasma HDTV is able to provide excellent and very high resolution images and thus the quality of images produced is far superior to those of other types of TVs including LCD and conventional tube TVs. It is this feature of providing high resolution images that makes it possible for plasma HDTVs to receive HDTV signals as well as DTV and also other types of formats. And, unlike certain LCD and projection TVs, the plasma HDTV is great for viewing from any angle and even from various parts of the room in which it is located.

Also, the plasma HDTV scores over other types of TVs in that it is completely flat as well as very modern and thus there isn’t any distortion because of curvature that is something that certainly plagues the tube TV users. In addition, with a plasma HDTV you are assured of having a very slim TV set that also does not weigh much and it can even be hung from a wall and is easily placed wherever in the room you wish to place it.

There are a number of big name players making the plasma HDTV not least of which is Panasonic that has recently come out with their newest version that is supposed to provide superior performance over its competitors and the model in question is the Panasonic TH-50PH9UK fifty inch plasma HDTV. According to experts, this plasma HDTV is certainly going to give you a bigger bang for your buck and it is sure to give you the best as far as quality of picture goes which is punctuated with the best in terms of color accuracy thanks to its CMS or Color Management System that is far superior to that of competing models, though of course it is priced at about four thousand dollars which may even then turn out to be a good investment after everything has been considered.

Plasma HDTV

Change the way you used to watch the television with the new TV on the block that has made the conventional analog television sets run for their survival. We are talking about a plasma HDTV. It’s a new technology that has altogether changed the whole scenario. The High Definition Plasma Television is here, that is what popularly known as Plasma HDTV, that has given a new dimension to the TV watching experience. But, is the technology worth of receiving so much of praise. In this case you have to see it to believe it. As the name itself reflects, the HDTV is a high definition TV that changes the picture quality by bringing more life to it and thus has many advantages over the conventional analog TV set.

Lets talk about what you get when you go in for the Plasma HDTV.

Much Higher resolution: this is where the Plasma HDTV can beat any competition coming its way. Compared to the conventional TV sets, the Plasma display devices have much higher resolution, and are capable of displaying full HDTV and DTV signals as well as XGA, SVGA and VGA signals from a computer.

Elimination of scan lines: Contrary to the Plasma TV the conventional TV monitors use an electron beam to scan the picture tube at regular intervals that may produce the scan lines, in a standard NTSC TV. Plasma displays in this case, include built-in line doubling to improve image quality when switched to standard analog video sources such as TV broadcasts and VCR tapes.

Exceptional color accuracy: Another great advantage is the exceptional color accuracy that is achieved through displaying 16.77 million colors that can bring any picture to life.

Wide-screen aspect ratio: To bring back the experience of watching films in theatre, Plasma display devices have a wide-screen 16:9 aspect ratio, that allows the DVD-Video movies to be viewed in wide-screen format.

Perfect flat screen: is another biggest advantage with Plasma screens. This helps to eliminate the edge distortion that can occur in normal displays.

Uniform screen brightness: the realism can be achieved with this factor that also helps in soothing the eyes with the plasma displays illuminating every pixels evenly across the screen.

Slim space-saving design: a few inches thin, hag it on any wall you like and it gives you the installation options as never before. Don’t bother about the standalone way if you don’t want to keep it like that. The best part is the can match your décor, and actually increase the style statement of your home.

Wide viewing angles: of 160 degrees allows a larger number of viewers to enjoy perfect image reproduction irrespective of their position in the room.

Universal display capability: makes them include and play a wide video formats. Most of the plasma HDTV ware compatible with composite video (NTSC, PAL SECAM) (standard RCA jacks), S-video and component video inputs, plus one or more RGB inputs to accept the video output from a computer.

Resistance to magnetic fields: as they do not use the electron beams like the conventional TV sets, they are unfazed by the effects of magnetic fields. That is why it can be placed in a close proximity to any device that produces magnetic fields, for instance, speakers.

Customer Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!, May 1, 2008
Hello boys
I usually do not write, opinions, but this is a new TV without many reviews in the public domain, so they decided to put my grain of salt;
1. Why not … good plasma or LCD, plasma, are cheaper when you are in post 50 “realm. Past 50″ Plasma rule when it comes to prices. They are not represented by 60/120 Hz wheel problems, such as the LCD is limited (remember once before a ball “triple our old CRT TV, we have used in the past 50 years also are plasmas for an extension of this technology, a bit “more sophisticated.
2. [...]
3. List Services: 5 / 5 class. Comprar en línea fue una brisa.
4. Free White Glove delivery includes delivery, unpacking, setting and waste. Even if you do not like what you see, Amazon has the TV on the ground at their expense. On my TV, there were costs in white gloves! Monitoring CEVA 7th promised delivery May, but the TV on 1 May. How is it possible that, under the promise and deliver more. 5 / 5 by a CEVA guanto bianco! It took 2 guys, is to take this beast into the car and I am ready for half an hour unpacking and helping me live on television for the position (36 mm to M8). The screws on the back of the Samsung are not long enough (but M8). Si deve annullare la base Girevole (i ragazzi CEVA ha fatto e dai miei 36 anni “(leggi più pesante) tamponamento seminterrato nel troppo).
5. Return Policy: 30 days without any further questions on the Amazon, instead of storing 15 days for the brick mortar.
6. The quality of TV images is really impressive. For price, is a breeze. The sound quality should be improved with a home theater system for a full HD / HT experience. The picture on the box is really wonderful. I played with many settings. Make sure you use an HDMI or component is able to display 1080p / i signal (the old coax does not display 1080p / i).
7. Blue Ray: For those with children, Sony PS3 is an obvious choice for a Blu-ray combo.
8. This TV is higher than that of its predecessor FTP5884 contrast, and therefore, while the two were available, it seemed natural to go with the newer model PN58A550.
9. One last remark. If the money is not a goal, I would buy a larger (65) have “Control Panel”. I had a suspicion, and now confirmed to buy no matter how big a panel, you can feel that it is pretty big to stop.
In general, Amazon saved me a lot of dinars and delivered as promised. No fuss, no mess, no questions asked! Good luck, boys and girls.
4.0 out of 5 stars Overall very pleased, June 27, 2008
I had the PN58A550 about a month and I am very happy.

Positive
The value is very good on this TV. The picture quality is excellent. Configuration more extenisive most televisions. It can really dial in all aspects of the image using the menu regularly. The overall responsibility on television is really nice. It has a glossy piano finish on the frame and the support is very strong. Samsung TV is accustomed to some of the worst menu, but this TV is really good and intuative.

Negative
1) There are S-video and composite in the back of the TV. There are 1 each on the left side of the TV.
Feature 2) The photo of “Zoom” is stupid. Sometimes when movies are mailboxes that I want to zoom in and see the two bars above and below. Samsung can not zoom in zoom, the image is stretched vertically so everything looks a bit “too high.
3) The screen is highly reflective. Other plasmas do a better job of cutting out the light.

Overall I am very satisfied and satisfied with my purchase, it would certainly have done so again.
