HP G60-630US Sale

February 26th, 2010 No comments

Actually, I don’t feel right giving this product ANY stars!

The internal microphone and external microphone jack do not work. If you purchase this laptop with the expectation to be able to do video calls, forget it. The recipient of your call won’t be able to hear you.

DON’T BUY!!

Also, you should know that HP is aware of the problem, promising a fix “any day now”…however, they have been making that promise for months and months.

Great Tv overall. Picture is great during HDTV and Blu-Ray inputs and Next Gen Video Games look great too. The only thing that I don’t like is when the picture is on an all black picture their are shadows or a “blotchy white” look towards the outer sides of the screen.

Okay, so I came back from BestBuy and Future Shop do a little research on the new TV, which I bought on Amazon. UN55B8000 bought the Samsung 55-inch 1080p HDTV 240Hz LED is incredibly cool.

The properties of this bad boy is not of this world. If, after the latest HDTV technology, then this model can not be missed, and the price is better than Sony for $ 2000. I will mention some of the features of this TV is sweet.

1) 1.5 “thin-YA is true is the same thickness have a card, the reason for this is that this new generation of LEDs used instead of LCD or plasma, there is no need for light bulbs in it. Super cool

2)-HDTV UN55B8000 Samsung 55-inch 1080p 240Hz has led not only beautiful, but it’s really cool. Because the bulbs, (not the cold-cathode fluorescent lamps with the light for us simple folk), which means that it is not being heated.

3) frame rate of 240 Hz refresh rate in Hz 60-120 Hz TV will help, especially for the amount of blurred images. 240 Hz, with fast-moving images, which seem ridiculously obvious.

4) Energy Efficient DTT UN55B8000 Samsung 55-inch 1080p 240Hz LED is approximately 40% more efficient than traditional LCD and plasma HDTV. Again, this is the revolutionary technology, the LED lamps used.

5) Do you like games? – This TV has a game mode sharpens highlighting the dark areas of the picture, speeds up the reaction of image processing. Basically it is the game even better than what already

Where To Buy Samsung UN46B6000

February 25th, 2010 No comments

I work in the AV industry and tried to assist my dad in purchasing a TV. When we found out my first TV choice was delayed for an unknown amount of time he didn’t want to wait and got this B6000 (instead of the 8000) on Amazon. Here are some issues I’ve seen with the TV.

1. Motion blur

I’ve noticed ridiculous motion blur or ghosting with this TV. I was quite appalled by it. I’ve adjusted settings fruitlessly (there isn’t that much to adjust) to no avail. This is all coming in on the satellite feed and while it is a 120hz TV I noticed the incoming signal always says 1920×1080 60hz. I can’t get it to change from there. In the end it may just be the satellite box (Dish DVR). Perhaps someone else can confirm this in the comments.

2. LED Edge-lit

I would stay away from edge-lit TVs for now. If you’re wall mounting and you MUST have an ultra thin TV then go for it. But if you want excellent screen uniformity then you’ll want to avoid it.

3. Controls

The amount of picture adjustment controls seems very limited.

4. GLOSSY SCREEN!

I don’t know why manufacturers are making TV’s with glossy screen. I can only guess that it costs significantly less to make than a matte screen. You can see every bit of light reflecting in this screen. If you like to have a light on while you’re watching TV, make sure the light is right above/behind the TV or it’s behind you and you’re sitting off to the side. Otherwise you’ll be plenty annoyed on any dark/semi-dark scene. On the bright scenes you don’t really notice it.

On a more positive note:

Through Blu-Ray it looks very amazing. In fact, perhaps too good. Several movies I’ve watched on Blu-Ray actually are so crisp and sharp that it looks like a movie set instead of a real life scene. That ruins it a tiny bit for me. The best example would be Dark Knight.

The motion blur has made me think poorly of this TV. I do hope it’s just something to do with Dish’s DVR box. But if it only does 60hz on all boxes, why bother? My brother has a slightly older model Samsung 120hz 52″ that looks great over Brighthouse. Again, if anyone has Dish w/ this TV please put a comment on whether there is motion blur for you.

Cheap Acer AOD250-1515

I got 1 of these for each of my kids which are 3rd and 4th grade. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how solid they are and how well they perform. I wasn’t sure what to expect with a netbook but I tested it out on hulu, youtube, flash based games & netflix run full screen without any issues; Microsoft office runs perfect, the only program that they use that is a little slow is iTunes (which seems to run slow on any computer in my opinion)I just order a 2gig memory upgrade which hopefully will take care of itunes dropping frames during movie playback. The battery life is great, they can watch movies during a 4+ hour car trip no problem. For longer trips I just have them plug into an inverter.

Acer AOD250 1197 Best Buy

We are very satisfied with the new netbook.

The onle bad thing is there is only one memory slot.

As Amazon offers a memory adding… we thought it would be an add, not a substitution.

Now, the original 1Gb memory chip is useless.

There should be an advertising saying it’s an substitution, not an adding.
